Video Sketch 1- Sketchbook Pro Doodle

Another way of having fun is to teach people how to draw cartoon characters. I’ve taught a few adults and even small groups of children as little as age 7 a few basic fundamentals that sent them well on their way. I wanted to share a few Video Sketches to show you basically how I start each of my characters. I plot out the form using very simple shapes that help establish the volume. I feel these basic building blocks are essential in creating a character that has a decent sense of weight because it creates an illusion that there’s mass there on paper. From there it’s just your imagination that drives it home. Stay tooned for further examples.
